Wisconsin Lottery Credit

The Lottery and Gaming Credit comes from the proceeds of all Wisconsin lottery ticket sales. This credit provides direct property tax relief to qualifying property owners as a reduction of property taxes due.

Who Qualifies for the Lottery and Gaming Credit?

  • You may claim the Lottery and Gaming Credit for the current year property taxes if you were the owner of the property on January 1st of the current year and used the property as your primary residence.
  • You may have only one primary residence. You cannot claim this credit on business property, rental units, land, garages or other properties that are not your primary residence.
  • A non-Wisconsin resident cannot claim this credit.
  • If you received the Lottery and Gaming Credit last year, you are automatically enrolled to receive the credit each year you own the property.

To apply for the credit, fill out the online form and return it by November 1st, 2022 to:
