COMING SOON - DARBOY COMMUNITY PARK AND DOGWOOD PARK IMPROVEMENTS.
The Village Board continues to show its commitment to improving our parks for all of our residents. On May 11th, the Board approved the installation of new volleyball courts, tennis courts, adding pickleball courts, and updating the trail in Darboy Community Park. On May 25th, the Board went a step further by approving the purchase of new playground equipment for both Darboy Community Park and Dogwood Park. The total cost of the playground equipment will be approximately $250,000 and be covered by Park Impact Fees. This new equipment is made in Wisconsin using top quality, long lasting materials and designed to entertain children of all ages.
Our current equipment at Darboy Community Park must be removed now to begin the installation of the new volleyball, tennis, and pickleball courts and to update the trail. It is our intent to move our current equipment to another area of the park and make it available for play until the new equipment is installed later this summer. However, it will be reused only if we are confident it can be disassembled and reassembled in a way that is safe for our children. Safety is our first concern, even if it means having to wait for the new equipment.
Recreation includes ball fields, playground equipment, cross country skiing, bicycle & hiking trails, camping, boating, fishing, swimming, year round planned events and much more.
While you are enjoying your favorite activities don't miss the spectacular sunsets from the shores of Lake Winnebago.
