3/24/2020 Changes to In-Person Voting

With the changes mandated by Gov. Tony Evers "Safer at Home" order that will go into effect at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25th we have decided it’s safest for all involved to conduct in-person absentee voting by appointment only. This is for both your safety and ours.
Please call the Clerk’s Office at 989-1062 or email jweyenberg@harrison-wi.org to schedule an appointment. Make sure to bring your photo id with you to your appointment.
We still strongly encourage everyone to visit myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. The deadline to request a ballot is April 2nd.
Please share this information with any family members or neighbors that may need assistance. Read More

Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, we are limiting lobby services at the Village Hall. We will not be selling yard waste "H" stickers or issuing dog licenses in person until further notice. You may still use the 24-hour drop box or mail requests to our office. We have had many, many residents come to the office today and we believe it is important that every person follows the advice of Stay At Home, even if you feel fine.

Important Message

An Important Message to Our Voters:

As many of you are aware, Governor Evers has declared a State of Emergency related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In order to keep everyone safe, I want to remind you of your voting options for the upcoming Spring Election and Presidential Primary scheduled for April 7, 2020. Polls for the Village of Harrison will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Harrison Municipal Building, W5298 State Road 114 (Wards 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16) and Christ the Rock, W6254 US Hwy 10 114 (Wards 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18).

Every effort will be made to keep the polling places as clean as possible. Election officials will wipe down voting booths and election equipment throughout the day. Each voter will be given a pen upon entering the polling place to use throughout the entire voting process from signing the poll book to filling in the ovals on the ballot.  Remember to keep a safe distance between you and other voters. If you have had a fever, respiratory symptoms, or believe you are sick, please consider requesting a ballot to be mailed to you.

You may request an absentee ballot online at www.myvote.wi.gov prior to 5:00 p.m. on April 2nd, and a ballot will be mailed to you. If you do not have internet access, you may request an absentee ballot in writing to the Village Clerk, W5298 State Road 114 Menasha, WI 54952 or via email at jweyenberg@harrison-wi.org. You must include a copy of your photo ID, address, date of birth, election date and signature with your request or we will not be able to process your request. Please be sure to allow sufficient mailing time as we must receive your ballot back before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Given the current situation with the rapidly spreading coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we strongly encourage you to utilize this method of voting. Voting absentee by mail is especially important for the elderly, those who have traveled recently, and those who have a suppressed immune system.

Voters are also able to vote “In-Person Absentee” at the Harrison Municipal Building, beginning Monday, March 23 until Friday April 3, 2020.  Please see our calendar for current hours. If you choose to vote in-person, we again ask voters to stand a proper distance from each other and we will be limiting voting to 2 people at a time. This is definitely not the most ideal method, as we are trying to limit face-to-face contact as much as possible. In-person voting ends on Friday, April 3rd so please plan ahead.

If you have questions or need assistance with any of your voting options, please email jweyenberg@harrison-wi.org.

Thank you,

Jennifer Weyenberg

Village of Harrison Clerk-Treasurer
