Hydrant Flushing Notice

Harrison Utilities will begin its routine fire hydrant maintenance and flushing of water mains throughout the District between May 6th – June 7th.

This operation will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Some discoloration of water may occur during this process. In the event discoloration occurs, we advise running the cold water tap for a few minutes until the water is clear. The discoloration will clear up as we move out of an area. Please refrain from washing clothes until the water runs clear.

This operation allows an opportunity to check the function of all the district’s fire hydrants and is necessary to flush out the water mains in order to provide the best quality water year-round to our residents.
